Christa is CoCreate Financial's Chief Planning Officer. She spends her time engaging with clients about their unique situations and oversees the development and implementation of financial plans. Financial planning is really life planning, and Christa enjoys building deep connections with clients so she has a true understanding of their passions, desires and needs. Christa is passionate about her work because she consistently sees that high-quality financial planning propels clients on a life of mission and purpose.
Christa began her career as a Financial Advisor at Raymond James in 2016, and joined Co|Create as a Financial Advisor in 2019. Christa holds the credentials of Certified Financial Planner Professional®, Chartered Financial Consultant®, and Certified Kingdom Advisor®. Before her career in financial planning, Christa worked as a paralegal and in vocational ministry.
Christa has volunteered in numerous capacities including as a CASA Advocate for abused and neglected children with CASA/GAL of Gallatin County, served on the Board of CASA/GAL of Gallatin County and as a Volunteer Puppy Raiser with Canine Companions, a national service dog organization that provides high quality assistance dogs to individuals with disabilities. Christa has raised four puppies for the organization. Christa is a Journey of Generosity facilitator with Generous Giving and loves the opportunity to help people explore generosity in their unique situation.
Christa loves to be continuously learning, and is generally reading several books at any given time. She finds that cross-country skiing is the best way to enjoy the beauty of Montana winters.
Matt founded Co|Create Financial, based on the belief that Financial Advice should be about more than just maximizing your investment account values over the course of your life. Your financial resources gain their value based upon the things you use them to accomplish. Matt’s belief is that your money is connected to every area of your life, and either enhances or hinders depending on how it is used. Matt’s passion for helping his clients centers around this idea, that your purpose should be the driver behind your financial plan and your financial resources should empower you to live out that purpose.
In addition to being the CEO, Matt serves as the Chief Investment Officer of CoCreate Financial. Matt loves to engage with clients and manages all client investment portfolios. He holds the CFP® credentials and is an Accredited Asset Management Specialist® through the College for Financial Planning.
Matt has been serving the financial needs of individuals and businesses since 2010 and has developed a broad base of experience to help his clients with their diverse financial needs. He began his career in property management, community economic development, mortgages and home-buyer education. In 2013, he became a Financial Advisor at Raymond James where he worked closely with people in every stage of life, helped small business, and non-profits with their financial planning needs. Matt released his partnership interest at Raymond James in 2019 and founded CoCreate Financial.
Matt is actively involved in the community. He has served as President and Vice-President of the Board of Gallatin County Love in the Name of Christ and has previously served in various roles on the Board of Family Promise of Gallatin Valley, a grassroots organization providing shelter and case management for homeless families. In addition to his board experience, Matt has worked with many churches and non-profit organizations in various consulting roles in developing systems, strategies, policies.
Having built CoCreate Financial from the ground up, Matt has developed meaningful expertise in firm management and compliance and has enjoyed the opportunity to coach other firms and advisors in their early careers and transitions between business models within the within the financial industry.
Matt and Christa have been married since 2009 and love the joys and challenges of engaging in business together. Matt enjoys woodworking, playing various musical instruments, and loves being a part of the Bozeman community. Most of all, he is passionate about spending time with people.
Matt holds a Bachelor's Degree from Northwest University in Biblical Literature with minors in Greek and Biblical Languages.
Sierra is the Business Manager of CoCreate Financial and focuses on all aspects of internal operations and efficiencies. Sierra has a bachelor's degree from Montana State University and has completed a Data Analytics Certification.
Sierra is an excellent fit at CoCreate because she strives to cultivate authentic, honest, and meaningful interactions in order for people to feel seen and appreciated for who they are. She finds that there is a particular beauty in the balance of providing highly organized structure and planning paired with creativity and originality.
When not at CoCreate, Sierra enjoys her creative pursuits of making pottery and gardening. Other favorite activities include dirt biking with her husband, Gavin, and generally spending as much time outside as possible.
Clooney began his career in a rigorous training program and studied under the best trainers in the country at the Irving, TX campus of Canine Companions for Independence. While Clooney was excited about his future career as a service dog, he was ultimately was too excited. Clooney made a career-change and returned to his upbringing in Montana and joined CoCreate as a full staff member.
